Skywatch Friday: Year End Sign?

Sign Seen in Flagstaff, AZ 12-14-08 by Kathiesbirds

This sign is posted on Beulah Blvd in Flagstaff, AZ near the hotel we stayed in when we took my mother back to the train. In the background you can see one of the peaks of the San Fransisco Mountains with a fresh blanket of snow. It seems an appropriate photo for the end of 2008 with the New Year upon us. May all your Dead Ends be "Temporary" in 2009!

Happy New Year!

  1. This is a funny or odd Sign. May all our dead ends dissolve so we may see what is really before us.

    Happy New Year.

I've just come back from our pondand got a couple of shots at ourelusive heron befor all the water dries up, also some very shy green Parrots/Lorikeets? unidentified as yet. Yippee!
I wish you birds, birds and more birds for the coming year,

  3. Nice to know the dead end is only temporary. LOL
I don't have a lot to say about last year or this new year. Some thoughts...

I hope 2009 will be better than 2008, 2007, and 2006. I do think our government will be inspired by our new President Obama -- at least I hope so.

I would like to see the War in Irag end and I would like to see the killing stop everywhere.

It is my hope that Japan will stop slaughtering whales and raping virgin forests.

And I hope the people will lose their clubs and no longer club baby seals to death.

What a world we have and live in. 2009 could be so much better than it will be.

  4. I wonder why temporary, they must be extending the roadway, mmm. My thoughts are with Abraham Lincoln, I like the way he puts it. Happy New Year.
