CONGRATULATIONS ALEX and DIANE!

Diane and Alex Brown 5-31-09

We are pleased to announce the wedding of our youngest son, Alex Brown to his fiance Diane on Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Avondale, AZ. I was the photographer for the wedding so it was a very busy day. My brother Stephen arrived at 10 p.m. the same night and Gus had surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome early Tuesday morning. Life is Happening here in Sycamore Canyon! More photos and stories to follow well as the continuation of the New River Birding Festival!

That is a nice portrait of them, Kathie. And the New River Birding Festival sounds interesting to me as well. Is that in West Virginia?

Also, Patty, my wife of 54 years, had her carpal tunnel surgery and was a mess for a while as it was on the hand she uses for everthing. Going to the bathroom was a challenge we had to solve.

We lived in Goodyear, AZ for about 3 years so I know that area of town.... looks as though the bride and groom had a typically lovely blue skied Arizona wedding day. Congrats to all!

Dear everyone, I am so sorry this has taken me so long to get back and respond to your comments! I do so appreciate all of you!

Shellmo, thank you for your kind congratulations!

Gaelyn, the wedding was so amazing. I have such stories to tell but I don't know if I will get the chance before I have to leave again

Carol, thank you! I will pass on your message!

Wren and Lynn, thank you dear friends!

Arija, thank you! I am squeezing the birding in wherever I can! I even took 5 minutes to count birds at the wedding!

DJB, Gus did survive but it was rough going the first couple of days.

Denise, thank you!

TR, so good to see you! Thank you!

Abe, Gus is left handed so it is his primary hand to use also. He is getting better and he will need the other one done later. It isn't healing fast enough to suit him!

Beth, thanks for noticing. I picked that photo for that reason!

Quiet Paths, I am trying! Thanks for caring!

Ruth thank you. I will pass your message on to Alex and Diane.

Mary, thank you also. My blogging buddies are the best!

BlueRidge gal, it was sunny, blue and hot! The bride was an hour late to her own wedding but it worked out for the best as there was more shade back there by then!

Celeste, I am thrilled but overwhelmed. I am only just starting to realize it really happened!

Larry, thank you!

Bookbabie, yes, there is and it hasn't stopped yet! Thank you!
