Introducing Natalie Brown, my newest grandchild! 3-14-10
Our first day with Natalie. Her Papa can sure make her smile!
Welcome to the world, Natalie! 3-13-10
Gus and Alex play one last game of Cribbage before we get on the road. (It’s a Maine thing.)
Grandpa having fun.
Natalie, Alex and Diane. It is so hard to say good-bye.
My son and my soldier. I am so proud of him.
Perhaps this Eastern Bluebird in his backyard is a sign, a symbol of hope, the Bluebird of Happiness. I miss them already. I want to go back!

Fantastic photographs Kathie. I would travel a million miles to see that adorable little granddaughter. So precious. You have a beautiful family.
I should also say no wonder you are so proud of your son. Thank him for me will you please? "Go Army!" You ARE a beautiful family!
Denise, thank you so much for both of your comments. It was so hard to leave them and that last photo of my son makes me cry! I will tell Alex thank you for you.
That's wonderful. Funny thing about that Cribbage. I have some friends from Maine that are totally into Cribbage too.
Kathie, this child is beautiful! As is her mother. And her grandmother. I know how much you miss them.
Idaho Birder, is that you, AKA Avimor Birder and Robert Mortenson? BTW, I think Cribbage is a religion in Maine!
bobbie, you so know how I miss them! And I have the added concern of my son going off to war. I can't look at that last picture of Alex without crying.
What an adorable baby and family!!
Lovely things, thank you! I think so, but then, I am predjudiced!
She's beautiful, Kathie, but that's not surprising when you look at her parents. No wonder you found it hard to leave!
You are a very fortunate woman to have such a beautiful family. Obviously you and Gus did a wonderful job of parenting.
Kathie, Natalie sure is a cutie! Glad you and Gus were able to make the trip. See you soon.
Wren, thank you so much. It was so hard to leave, for more than one reason. I do not know when I will see my son again.
Kayleen, thank you so much.
KatNell, she is so adorable and I can't WAIT to see you!
What a little peach Kathie, you must be delighted.
