Spectacular! This picture was taken a little after 7 PM. Our sunset is now at about 8:33 PM. What a difference latitude makes!

Hi everyone. Thank you for coming to see my Fiery Sunset. I took this photo as a rare May storm was moving in. No smoke, just real clouds! Clouds in the desert always make for awesome photos! I must have taken 50 to 100 shots this day. Gus and I both enjoy photography. We've been doing it for years. I started when I was young, but Gus didn't get interested until we were married and I convinced him to buy a Nikon FG. Since then we both took photography in college as we were non-traditional students and graduated in 1999. I had one semester of Photography but he took 2. We also took a painting class together, which was a hoot! Skywatch Friday is a creative challenge for us both. It has inspired Gus to start his own blog, called Gusto!
