Skywatch Friday: Celestial Sky Watcher

Cedar Waxwing at Agua Caliente Park 11-15-09

Skywatcher, birdwatcher Celeste 11-15-09

Last Sunday Celeste from Celestial Ramblings came to visit me here in Tucson with her husband. We went bird watching at one of my favorite places, Agua Caliente Park on the Northeast side of Tucson. Though the day started cool and clear it soon warmed up to about 70 degrees. Scroll down to read the full story below or click on the link:

The waxwing is elusive. Not sure I have ever seen one in my life. It sure does make a beautiful photograph.

A bird on a cleft stick and a blue, blue sky, such simplicity and such beauty, with Celeste thrown in for good measure. Lovely.

Kathie, of course that was my drawing although I have had a 26 teay absence from holding a pencil.
I thought it was time I indulged myself and started illustrating bits f poetry and such so Once the shed is built, I willhave a third of it for a studio. Have not had a space of my own since the last one burned down in '83. About time I asserted myself.

Good luck with the christmas cards!

Great SW, love how the bird lines up with the branch as though he was part of it!

I came via Arija's and Celeste's blog. I think I was the first person to find Celeste's blog and would love to meet her in person. (I hope you will accept the 'Green Thinker' award as it was my way of starting something where people might think about their impact on the planet.. Our house is a green house in progress)..
