Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument 4-8-10
My Friend, Kathryn arrived on the morning of April 7 and we started birding right away. The very next day we were out the door with the sun and on our way to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. For the next 6 days we birded all over Arizona from dawn to dusk. Kathryn left on the 13th in the afternoon and Matt Morrow arrived the same afternoon. I was out the door and bird watching with him on Wednesday, the 14th and once again we birdied all day from Dawn ‘till Dusk. I have seen so many species my head is spinning! Now I am playing catch-up on everything I neglected during the past 8 days and there will be stories and photos to follow. Be patient with me. I have laundry and dishes to catch up on as well as emails and blogging! I’m exhausted but happy. Migration has begun!

You are one busy birder Kathie. Look forward to more.
Idaho birder, nice to see you again!
Gaelyn, I have been very busy! every time I think I am about to catch up, something else happens!
Beautiful hummingbird -the eye is interesting-almost cartoonish looking.
Larry, his eyes may look cartoonish but if you were another male Costa's he would drive you right away!
Stunning picture of the Costas!
Thanks Dawn! It's always a challenge to get the light reflecting off the gorget so that the colors show.
