Hi, I am glad I found your blog. I just love that part of USA. Been there once and long to get back.
I am joining Skywatch here, but I also have a birdblog if you are interesting in birds in other countries.

Gorgeous, Kathie. Such a rich, wonderful landscape.
The colours of the mine against the blue and white sky are quite spectacular but the land degradation is a terrible scar on the landscape.
Great photography!!!
Impressive that man can do that...and sad that mankind has done that at the same time. Too bad we decided (how many millenia ago?) that copper was a important and valuable. I am a supporter of private property and industry, but this is one that gnaws at my gut.
Very nice photos by the way!
Wow Kathie!
This is almost a treat for me! I felt like I am also there taking photos of the place with Gusto!
It is like a beautiful painting in a canvas! It has also that look of a 3D graphics!
So, so stunningly beautiful these pics are Kathie! Thanks for sharing! :)
Amazing, simply amazing.
BEAUTIFUL shots! I've been that way a couple of times, but never took any photos. Thanks for sharing. My compliments to the photographer. Good work Gusto!
Oh my! The color, the color...this is fabulous!
It almost doesn't look real. Maybe that's because it isn't.
I enjoyed your set of posts on this day trip. It surprises me that there were so few birds in the area. But this is a transitional time, at least around here. The colours of soil at the mine are beautiful.
Kathie, the colors are just stunning. Great photos.
Stunning colors! It doesn't look real!
I love all the colours of the pit mine! They complement the blue sky so beautifully!
