I love the occasional stormy day if the storms are in the mild to moderate range. You don't even need excuses for pampering yourself on those days. Thanks for sharing. Pappy

Good recipe, we had to empty some water from the pool today to keep it from overflowing, the grass and weeds are happy though:)

The tea, the cats, the book, the monsoon. It all sounds quite idyllic.

that is a really astounding picture of the clouds and the storm. It sounds like you remember how to handle inclement weather!

Hope the tea was from Sri Lanka. That picture of the sky would have looked good for a SWF.

Scrapebook ideas, It was glorious. That storm lasted all afternoon and was the set-up for Gus' Skywatch photos on Friday.

Troy, I'm glad you liked it. Your comment made me laugh.

bobbie, good recipe and good book. See comment to Stacy below.

klaus, cheers back at you!

Stacy, that book is actually an amazing memoir of a woman who is restarting her life over in a run-down house. She is an excellent writer and her story is funny, sad, and triumphant. I like it so much that I read it twice in a row the first time and now I'm re-reading it for the 3rd time! As for waiting for the monsoon, you might have a long wait but I'm sure the blizzards will be back before you know it and you can use the same recipe for that!

forthe people, well Ricky, don't start any trouble with me! Besides, I'm not a redhead! Nice to see you too.

Pappy, you are so right. And, I did follow the recipe and fall asleep on that chaise. A totally pleasant afternoon. The temp dropped to 72 degrees after all!

shimmymom, thanks!

bookbabie, wow! Water, water everywhere...

jaylynn, I hope you can find time too. It was heavenly and yes, the book is good. See comment to Stacy above.

Hi Doug, and yes, it was idyllic.

Beth, It was a marvelous storm. This is our most exciting time of year weather wise. You don't forget how to deal with inclement weather but now I just do it at the oppsite time of year from when I lived in Maine! It still gives me that "bake some cookies and have cup of tea" kind of feeling though.

gallicissa, I don't know where the tea was from. It was Bigelow's Brand. I don't know as I've ever had tea from sri lanka. I'll have to look for some. I love tea. As for the photo, I have almost 100 more to chose from for Skywatch so no worries! I took photos on and off for a couple of hours before settling down in that chaise!

Note: you got me curious so I went and looked at the teas in my cupboard. I found one wooden box of "Cafe Tea" that said it is pure ceylon tea packed in Sri Lanka. Does that mean it was grown there?

TSannie, Absolutely! But you have to provide your own chaise!

Wren, and so it was.

Hurray the monsoons are here! Just being able to shut off your AC this time of year must be wonderful. Aaaah! I can smell the fresh, clean air now. We are experiencing a monsoon of sorts in NW Ohio too. I wish it would stop raining!

Yes that is from Sri Lanka.
Ceylon as you know is our British colonial name and the tea as a brand still retain it although it is promoted by the 'Sri Lanka Tea Board'!
