My son, Alex and his family arrived on Father’s Day to spend his last leave with us before he is shipped off to Afghanistan. This is our last time to see him and we are soaking up every minute we can. If you don’t hear from me for awhile, this is why.

Little natalie sure loves her grandma and Alex looks just like his mom. What a lovely happy family. I pray God may keep him safe and bring him whole in body and spirit back to you all.

Hello again! Bad Alice has been gardening with Bubbly and up to no good. What a beautiful baby girl! I've got to back track now and find out more about Alex. My son returned from 12 months in Iraq at Christmas and will deploy again in 7 months. This was my year to breathe easy. I will be lifting your son up in prayer. Give him a Thank You for me please. **blows kisses** Deb

Bird Girl, thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I will pass them on to my son.

Deborah, Alex has already been to Iraq and come home. He spent 15 months there. During his time home he got married and then had this beautiful child. Now he will be gone for a year as an infantry soilder in Afgansistan. How I pray for his safe return! Thank you for your prayers also. I will keep your son in mine. Thanks for the encouragement.
