Skywatch Friday: Desert Willow Blossoms

DSC_0059 Desert Willows are some of the only flowers still blossoming in this 100 plus degree heat while The Desert Waits for rain. Taken 6-3-10.

In answer to your question, Arija, yes, they do have a lovely and delicate fragrance that perfumes the night air. It attracts nectar feeding moths at night. The flowers also come in different colors on different trees from light pink to a deep wine or purple.
