I took this photo on my recent trip to New England to visit family. It was evening and I was sitting in my mother's yard by the fountain. As the Sun was setting the towering maples and hemlocks next to my mother's house cast these deep shadows on the neighboring house in the Historic District. I like the angle of the roof and the reflected sky in the window. While I love Arizona, I do miss this classic New England Architecture.

The shadow of the tree in the house provided great decoration. And that spotless blue sky is awesome.

Great roofline and shadows! A wonderful photo!
Love the puzzle shapes of shadows against the clear blue of sky!
Love the shadows, they give such depth and interest to the picture. Barns are so exciting!
The contrasts between architecture has got to be stunning. If it is like it used to be in Arizona, with walled in yards, etc..
I have been dealing with rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and the chemotherapy drug doesn't get rid of the pain so it is hard to type very much.

Pretty play of light & shadows. Beautiful photo for Sky Watch Friday and thanks for your kind comments on my blog post.
I miss New England too.
Even houses are different out here in the West. It is nice to travel around the country and see the differences in architecture. A lot of it is based on climate and weather. Pappy
I love the hard lines of the house against the blue sky and soft shadows.
Love the light and shadows, and of course, the subject!

I love finding shadows on things...
Nice design... Great catch...
Lovely. I particularly like the look of the tree trunk and branch moving up towards the window.
Hope you had a good trip back east!
